Tier points : The Basics
Behold, the tier tracker. Be prepared to sit down for a small bit if you're ready to read this section. We need our members to have a good understanding as to how the tier system works before joining the group - as it is how you will level up and improve your character once you've joined. Both art and literature will earn you tier points, and the possibilities are endless, so listen closely.
Before we reveal what the tier tracker looks like to you, you should know that there are 6 "stat bars" that you can add tier points to. These six bars represent the following: Speed, Stamina, Strength, Tactics, Rank and Unique Ability. All six are "upgraded" by adding points from your total tier to each bar. These are SEPERATE from the character's gift.
Speed: is as it sounds, this will make your character faster. There are 100 possible points in this catagorie
Stamina: This is your characters endurance, the more points the longer they can go. There are 100 possible points here.
Strength: a measure of how strong your character is, both in battle and defence physically. 100 possible points.
Tactics: Your characters ability to think under preassure, or devise a plan. Again, there are 100 possible points.
Rank: This is your characters job around the herd, and can range from a Knight, to a Scout, to a Scavenger. Every 25 points added to this section will earn your character a new privilage! There are 100 possible points!
Unique Ability: This is not earned or chosen till later, and your character does not join with it. However Unique abilities can range from stealth, to jumping to potions, to blacksmithing. You can purchase a unique ability from the Ba'Yagu shop. The unique ability also earns your character a new privilage every 25 points, and has 100 possible points.
So this means your character's blank tier tracker has enough room for 600 points. However, your character hits its maxiumum ammount of points at 500. This means that your tier tracker will have some empty space when your character maxes out. So choose where your points go wisely!
Aside from having individual point bars. Your character will have an over all "Level" The more TOTAL tier points they have on their sheet, the higher their overall level will be. Seems simple enough? Right? The Overall level will be what upgrades that "7th" bar we were talking about earlier - which upgrades your characters magical "gift" Now, before I totally lose you, lets take a look at that tier tracker, and really figure out how it works and is meant to be filled out.
Ie: Elesette's Character has 200 tier points, her character is LEVEL 7. She has distributed her points with 100 in speed, 50 in rank, and 50 in unique ability.
See! Thats your tier tracker! You'll be able to download one off of Deviantart later with your herd's symbol on it. You've probably already located everything we talked about. You can see each area discussed above.
Here you're going to put in any items you've purchased from the ba'yagu shop. For your first character it should either be a) empty, or b) have the starter pack when you first apply
All of these level squares show your characters over all level. You should write something in each box as you level up!
There are a total of 500 tier points that can be
obtained for a single character. However there is "room" for 600 tier points in the various stat bars - so choose where your points go wisely! One or more bars will not be completely full when your character is maxed.
Please make sure your total tier is listed clearly in total tier area! Admins will often check this when
you are applying for a gift, ability or life item!
Note: Unique abilities are non-magical unique abilities that horses can use and improve. These include but are not limited to blacksmithing, potions, jumping, stealth, and astrology. They cannot be obtained till a character is level 3 and can be purchased at Ba'aygu's Shop!
Gifts however are magical abilities. They include but are not limited to, fire manipulation, necromancy, and more!. They, like unique abilities are available for purchase in ba'Yagus shop, However they are not obtained till level four or eight. Both are a fun way to make your character truely unique. But lets not get into abilities here - you can learn more about them by perusing the shop. Lets get into how you can earn tier points!!
How to Earn Tier

Tier should be fun to earn. It can be earned by drawing art of your character, roleplaying, participating in events, filling out our premade CW memes (available in our DA gallery), and writing personal literature about your character. While earning tier you'll find your character will develop and his or her story will progress in ways you never thought of! Below is a list of how much tier you earn for doing what. ARTWORK
Headshot - Less than half of the horse is shown, must be at LEAST the head : 1 point
Sketch Dumps - Uncolored, and/or sketchy images, must be more than 3 present : 1 point
Full Body - Half or more of the horse is shown : 2 points
Half Background - A scenic background that the character is 'floating above'/not taking part in, or is heavily simplified/blurred beyond point of detail - Example) : 1 points
Full Background - A scenic background that the character is taking part in naturally, containing an easily identifiable middle and background : 2 points
Application Sheet Completed: + 5 Points (redeemable once per character)
+Roleplay Scene Inspired: + 2 points (must include Role Play paragraphs)
**GRADIENTS do not count as a background
2015 UPDATE: Starting will all artworks uploaded in 2015 extra characters will no longer count only for +1 point. They will count for +1 if it is a headshot/less than half the body OR they will count for +2 if they are more than half the body!
Special Circumstances
Repeated Lineart (Edited): Full points for the first use, half points thereafter.
Comics (including Song-Images): Treated for each panel as a single, separate artwork.
Sketchy-Colored Images: All character art that is dramatically abstracted and/or simplified beyond the artist's general capabilities will be given half of what is listed above - Example (Top three images are considered reasonable simplification, fourth image would fall under this category)
ROLEPLAYING
Uploaded Roleplay of 4000 words + : 2 points per user
Uploaded Roleplay of 6000 words + : 3 points per a user
Uploaded Roleplay of 9000 + : 4 points per a user
ROLEPLAY of the month: + 10 tier points per a user.
(Roleplay of the month is chosen from the RPs uploaded to dA the previous month, and will be featured in a journal.)
LITERATURE
500+ word story (added with an image) + 2 tier points
2000 + word story on its own : 2 tier points
3000 + word story : 3 tier points
5,000 + word story : 4 tier points
OTHER Ways to earn tier
Events ----- Vary, check the journal of the upcoming event to see how much it will be worth
Memes ---- also vary, they range from 5 tier to 20 tier.
Checkpoints are art prompts created by the admins as a new way to earn tier points. They earn more tier than regular pieces of art work and can be found on the next page. Drawing or writing out a check point can earn a user maximum tier. Ranging for + 4 extra tier to +20 extra tier. They are also a good way to develop your character!
Administrator Tier/Witch Glass
In our efforts to bring you the best Chevalin Wanderlust experience possible, the administrators receive some tier for performing certain tasks in helping the group run smoothly, as this does take time away from our personal characters!

Admins roleplaying as NPCs earn WG and Tier as if they were their own character for that objective - however they must declare which character is receiving this tier.
