J o i n i n g   C h e v a l i n   i s   E a s y!

Despite the large ammount of reading you'll have to do before beginning your application, creating a character and submitting it should be a fun and easy process. Your first stop is here, reading the rules and character creation guide. Next you'll want to head over to the "Tier points" section of the website, then the WG and lastly, return here to learn how to submit your application.

 General Rules of the Group

1.  Before you send a join request, please make sure you have read all of the rules! (*)  Most importantly, please be sure that the group is open!  We’d love to have you, but it’s only open a select few times of the year, and we wont accept applications when we're closed!

2. Be polite and courteous to your fellow members.  If there are any problems always contact an administrator.  We want Chevalin to be a place that is safe and fun! (* - ***)

3.  Try to come to the admins respectfully if you have any problems with the group.  State your problem kindly and the admins will do their best to come to a conclusion or a compromise.  Please do not lash out at the admins or attempt to change their minds rudely if it does not go exactly how you want.  We make our decisions for a reason, and we try our best to accomadate you! (**)

4. We do not tolerate under any circumstances the tracing or stealing of another’s artwork. Nor do we alow using any pre-made linearts and bases.  Art must be your own or a  credited commission from someone else. (first offense * ; second offense **)

5.  Please do not send multiple join requests at one time, and don’t pester the admins to look at your applications. We will get to you - we promise!

6. Do not spam CW's front page with advertisements/personal problems! Note us instead! (*)

7. Do NOT note or message the admins on their personal accounts regarding Chevalin. Instead title a note to the group with thier name if you want a specific admin! (*)

8. ALL out of character chatting must be kept to a "PG-13" level or under. Move to a private chat if you must. (**)

9. And most importantly:  DO make lots of new friends and have a blast RPing your lovely characters! <3 (***************************************)

Gameplay Rules

1.  You must at least be what is called a semi-literate writer.  We are not looking for professionals here, but we ask that you be able to write a 200 word paragraph with few mistakes.

2.  You should be able to act maturely in stressful internet situations.  If you have a problem with another member, you should know that you can come to the admins in the event that you feel you cannot handle the problem by yourself.  Failing to reach an admin and causing drama instead will result in consequences. (**//***)

3.  You do not have to be purely an equine artist.  While the characters here must be equine, you do not have to be a perfect horse artist. We do accept artists of all levels into the group.

4. KEEP TRACK OF YOUR CURRENCY and TIER POINTS. Log them in a public place so the admins can see what you've done!

4.5 If you try to buy an item without having your WG logged for us, you will be given a strike. (*)

5. Killing off another character without the owners permission is absolutely unacceptable. Deaths must be pre-planned by both parties involved if the death is a result of any type or murder. (**-***)

6. Do not "God Mod" or "Meta Game" when you roleplay. This means that you cannot control a character that is not your own unless you have the owner's permission. This is escpially true for Objective roleplays. If you are unsure what these terms mean, here is a great guide. (* - **)

7. If you sign up for an event - plan to be active in it. It isn't fair to your teammates if you aren't active. If you need to back out at anytime notify an admin! Its better to notify than disappear! (**)

8. Do not pubically RP content that is considered "R" or "NC-17" this includes graphic violence and sexual content. If the RP i privately rp'd and is uploaded for points, a large obvious warning of what it contains MUST be put at the top (**-***)

Creating a Character

Here comes the fun! Its time to create a character! If you're really ready to apply to chevalin you've probably already started thinking of what you  want your character to look an act like. The first thing you should be aware of however is that all characters must belong to a faction. There are four factions available in Chevalin - and all have their own histories laws, and lore. These factions are The spiritual and noble Olde herd, the loyal and nomadic Exile herd, the barbarian and freirce Bachelor herd, and the sparse loners of Chevalin. If you would like to read more on these herds before creating a character, it is suggested you do so now. Click here to read up on the herds and world lore!

Once you're done with that you can return here to read up on the general rules of character creation within the Chevalin-Wanderlust Group!

Rules of Character Creation

1. Characters must be created with natural colors in mind, we’d prefer not to see a blue or green coated horse. You can buy dye from the shop later if you want some streaks of color on your horse!

2. While unnatural colors are prohibited, unnatural markings are 100% okay, want those leopard spots on the head? Or that odd spiral pattern on the butt? - go for it!

3. Bicolored eyes are 100% allowed, but please ask before making one! We don’t want all of our characters with bicolored eyes - we do put a cap on them! We also allow ALL eye colors in chevalin - red, blue, pink green, grey -- just no rainbow eyes!

4. Characters MUST be of equine nature: this includes Horses, Donkeys, Mules, and Zebras. It does not include deer or other hooved animals.

5. Characters must be at least 13 years of age, as horses age like humans in chevalin.

6. Characters must be between 9 Hh and 22 Hh, unless you have a reason to support why they are smaller or larger than this cap

7. We do not allow “Mary Sues” or “Gary Stu” characters, please have an understanding of what these are before trying to join the group. Basically, do not have a character with an insanely unrealistic or tragic past, with a disconnected personality. Make sure your character makes sense!

8. Characters may not begin with ITEMS or DYE outside of the item starter pack on them, however these items can be bought over time. We urge you to keep an easily editable file of your character because of this! The Item starter pack includes, 2 -3 small simple bracelets, 1 - 6 warm colored ribbons, and one or two flowers.

9. You may join Chevalin Wanderlust with only ONE character, however you can earn up to 6 character slots throughout gameplay. Your second character slot is earned by buying a "voodoo doll" for 20 Witch Glass from the Ba'yagu Shop, and any character slots after that are earned by buying a "porcelian statue" for 100 Witch Glass from the Ba'yagu shop!

10. After your character is accepted, adding items that have not been purchased are against the rules (**)

11. Once in the group, you can only change your design by buying a "mirror" from Ba'Yagu's shop. (**)

Now that you've read all our rules, and hopefully our lore section its time to learn about tier points!

Once you're done reading about Tier Points and Witch Glass, and have a good understanding of the system, return here to complete your application! You'll be completely ready and know all you need to know about Chevalin then!
